Types of therapy
Telehealth
I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Telehealth can be just as effective as in-person therapy. My clients tend to prefer the added convenience of scheduling, the lack of traffic/parking, and the comfort of their home.
Because I’m licensed in California, Tennessee, and Minnesota, you must be physically located in those states for our therapy sessions.
My Approach
I believe that the most effective therapies share a set of interconnected pillars. Based on my training and specialties, I am most often working with clients on:
-
Increasing awareness of how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact and influence us.
-
Practicing acceptance of things we can’t change and the inherent highs and lows of living a full life.
-
Engaging in the things (relationships, work, activities) that are important and meaningful to us.
-
Enhancing flexibility in our thinking, behaviors, reactions and ways of coping.
-
Cultivating compassion in moments of struggle towards ourselves and others.
-
By facilitating connection in our relationships and community, we can feel a sense of common humanity.
